Apply to the country where you will spend the most nights — or, if nights are equal, your first port of entry. VFS slots in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai open roughly 90 days before departure.
File: passport valid six months beyond return with two blank pages, Schengen-spec photo, round-trip reservations, night-by-night stay proof, insurance with €30,000 medical cover, six months of bank statements, ITR, leave letter or business papers.
Cover letter and consistent balances decide more files than people think. A sudden large deposit reads as borrowed funds.
Budget roughly ₹8,000–₹10,000 per person in fees. Allow 15–30 working days in season. Recheck every rule with the consulate before you pay.
